I have long held a passion for photography and an interest in art. It did not take long with the advent of Digital Photography to realise that I could combine both of these elements.
My technical understanding of photoshop is something that I am constantly seeking to evolve through experimentation. Every new composition represents a challenge and I am firm believer that if you have a clear vision for an image with perseverance you can make it a reality.
Much of the digital art I create involves aspects of the unusual, be it capturing infra red landscapes or taking colour and structure from nature then fusing this with an altogether different subject matter. My work is inspired by a love of both science fiction and fantasy and tends to have a slightly otherworldly presence to it.
I work utilising two cameras; a Nikon d300 for the more conventional photography and a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS6 with its hot plate removed, in conjunction with a 720 infra red filter for my IR images.
